'Finding a fabulous 1840-1860’s sampler quilt was unbelievably exciting for me! I loved its oversized and quirky pieced and appliquéd blocks, all in terrific fabrics, and still in great condition – what an amazing find! With careful study, we have reproduced a number of prints from the sampler – and from another quilt in my collection from the same time period – to honour the makers and the vibrant colours of that era. Sally’s Story will be revealed as the block-of-the-month program unfolds. I do hope you join me as we Turn Back Time and reimagine Sally and her sampler’s journey.'
